In West Tennessee, the mental health system has a gap you could drive 90 miles through. That is exactly how far some patients have been driving to access innovative psychiatric care. For people already struggling to get out of bed, that distance is not just inconvenient. It is a barrier that can keep them from getting the care they need.
Claritiv Health was founded and built by someone with a firsthand understanding of the gap West Tennessee faces – for families looking for another path forward. Not from a textbook, but from life. The endless medication carousel. The six-week waiting periods for drugs that might not work. The quiet desperation of watching people you love suffer while the system shrugs and says, “Give it time.”
This facility exists because West Tennessee deserves access to innovative and holistic mental health treatment without the drive, without the wait, and without the stigma. We are not here to replace your doctor or your therapist. We are here to provide complete psychiatric care when the conventional playbook has run out of pages.

You run meetings, hit deadlines, and hold it together for everyone around you. But behind closed doors, you are running on empty. Nobody knows because you have gotten too good at hiding it.
Your kids are right there, but anxiety has built a wall between you and the moments that matter. You are physically present but emotionally miles away, and the guilt makes it worse.
You served. You came home. But a part of you did not. The nightmares, the hypervigilance, the numbness. They do not hand out Purple Hearts for those.
Three medications. Five. Ten. Therapy, supplements, meditation apps, and advice from well-meaning friends who do not understand. You have not failed. Your treatments have.
EMTs, nurses, doctors, paramedics, firefighters, police officers, psychiatrists. You spend every shift holding other people together. But nobody asks who is holding you. The burnout, the compassion fatigue, the things you have seen that you cannot unsee. You deserve the same level of care you give everyone else.
You have given it time. Years of it. And you are still waiting for something to change. At some point, patience stops being a virtue and starts being a sentence.
You do not need a dramatic story to walk through our doors. You just need to be tired of feeling this way and willing to try a different path.

Claritiv Health provides innovative mental health treatment under one roof. From traditional psychiatric care to innovative treatments, we create personalized care plans around your individual needs.
Holistic care starts with understanding your full story. A psychiatric evaluation helps our clinical team review your symptoms, treatment history, current medications, goals, and the factors that may shape your care.
IV ketamine infusion therapy may be an option for eligible adults with treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, or bipolar depression, especially when other treatments have not brought sufficient relief. Ketamine is FDA-approved as an anesthetic. Its use for mental health conditions is off-label and considered when clinically appropriate.
Holistic psychiatric medication assessment and optimization. We review your current medications, identify what is working, and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Talk Therapy may include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. It provides a supportive place to process experiences, develop coping strategies, and work through challenges.
A confidential conversation about your history, your goals, and what kind of care may be appropriate for you.
A holistic review of your symptoms, treatment history, current medications, medical history, substance use, and goals.
A qualified clinician will determine which care options may be appropriate based on your individual needs.
Follow-up will depend on your care plan, the services you receive, and what is clinically appropriate for you.
I spent fifteen years trying to outrun depression. Six different medications, three therapists, and more "just give it time" than I can count. By the time I found Claritiv, I wasn't hopeful. I was desperate. After my third treatment, I woke up and the fog was just gone. I made breakfast for my kids. I hadn't done that in months. That's when I knew something had actually changed.
I'm a veteran. I don't talk about what I carry. That's just not how I was built. But my wife could see it. She booked the consultation without telling me. I was skeptical, honestly bordering on hostile about the whole thing. By session two, she said she could see the difference in my eyes. By session four, I could feel it. For the first time in years, I slept through the night.
Anxiety stole my motherhood from me. My kids were right there, laughing, playing, needing me, and I couldn't reach them through the wall of dread. I tried everything my doctor suggested. Nothing worked long enough to matter. After my ketamine series, I caught myself on the floor playing trucks with my four-year-old, laughing. Actually laughing. I didn't even realize I'd stopped.
Take the first step. Start with a private, no-obligation conversation about what you have been experiencing and what care may be appropriate for you.

Megan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founding clinician at Claritiv Health. She earned her BSN from the University of Memphis and her MSN as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Tennessee Tech, building a career grounded in both clinical rigor and genuine care for her patients. As veteran, Megan brings the discipline and steadiness of her service into every aspect of her practice.
Megan’s passion for mental health is personal as well as professional — having navigated her own journey through depression and PTSD, she understands firsthand what it means to seek real healing, not just symptom management. That understanding, paired with her faith, grounds her commitment to treating the whole person rather than a diagnosis. She believes no two patients are alike, and she tailors every treatment plan to the individual in front of her — their history, their goals, and what healing genuinely looks like for them.
Dr. Buffy Cook is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician with over 25 years of experience treating a wide array of acute and chronic health conditions in patients ranging from 1 to 101. His decision to join the team at Claritiv Health came naturally for several reasons.
Professionally, Dr. Cook pursued a career in Family Medicine out of a desire to treat each individual holistically, body, mind, and soul. Over the past 25+ years, he has particularly enjoyed treating a multitude of mental health issues, working to erase the stigma of mental health conditions and improve his patients’ quality of life. In joining Claritiv Health, he saw exciting new opportunities to continue supporting those suffering from conditions like depression and PTSD.
Personally, Dr. Cook has battled chronic anxiety since his teen years and seasonal depression in his adult life—which became more severe in 2022 following the loss of three “fathers” (his father-in-law, biological dad, and spiritual father) within 90 days. By joining Claritiv Health, Dr. Cook saw a wonderful opportunity to help heal those with whom he has fought similar battles and traveled all too familiar roads.
